Oblivious to the forces of gravity and death, Cirque Le Masque artistes perform in mid-air spectacular acts that exemplify the stamina and strength of a super-human body. Muscles flex and ripple while the performers swing, fly, bend and balance- and like true dancers but dancing on air, their smiling or calm expressions betray no traces of the pain and effort involved in these seemingly effortless actions. The lights, music and imaginative costumes add to the whole adrenaline rush of this spectacle. But what really makes you hold your breath is the fact that these acrobats perform without safety nets, literally putting their lives on the line.
